Craft Fairs are hard work !

Our year of craft fairs are now drawing to an end and we now only have two more fairs then a rest until the new year.
A lot of time and effort goes into the fairs from finding the venue deciding and preparing stock to take, unloading the car and setting up your stall,then doing it all in reverse !!
This year has been a learning curve and we now have a better idea on which fairs are worth doing and which ones to avoid.
Last weekend we attend a new venue at Leigh sports village in Leigh, the day started with thick fog and very icy roads but trying to stay positive we loaded our nappycakes into the car and made our way to the venue.
The weather was bad all day but that didn't put people off ! It wasn't long before our first customer approached our babycakegifts stall.

I met a lovely stallholder with expolding chocs ! the stall was colourful
and very interesting.I gave out plenty of business cards and hopefully over then next few months i will have plenty of nappycake orders.

Christmas nappy cakes

This year my range of christmas nappy cakes will be one tiers with a red and white theme with either a teddy or small soft pram shoes.I will of course be still making my reindeer food with a new designed packaging.

Snowman soup will be ready by mid Nov great for kids and adults on a cold evening consisting of hot chocolate,marshmallows, choc chips and a candy cane stirring stick.

Good Week

I'm back on track had an order this week to be sent to the Netherlands was worried that it would get there ok but it was delivered within 3 days with no problems.
Tomorrow i'm off to a local fair held at a local care home hopefully to sell some pamper gifts ideal for birthdays and xmas presents.
My next big event is on the Bank Holiday weekend at Gawsworh hall in Cheshire.
The Christmas rush will start soon and hopefully my nappy cakes will start selling well onwards and upwards !!!

Lost my motivation

I have lost all my motivation this last week, i have 2 nappy cakes to finish off and just can't get going!
I think i'm due for a break from it all to see if i get my motivation back or do i just give up ?

Cheshire Show

Tuesday the 22nd June and Wednesday 23rd of June we had a stall at the famous Cheshire show !!
This event is held every year and is a very popular event bringing in large crowds.The weather was hot and sunny and people flocked to the craft tents to cool off in the shade.
A large arena was where alot of events was taking part this included the horse and pony events and a fabulous motorbike display team,plenty of animals to look at including some rare breeds and also plenty for the children to do including a great funfare.

Church House Inn Craft Fair

This Saturday the 24th April we had a stall at a lovely pub in Congleton in Cheshire,
The Church House Inn just off the town centre brought in about 20 to 30 stalls of crafts and a great big inflatable assault course !!! The weather was warm so plenty of people supported this great event.

Spring is in the Air !!

Spring has arrived weather getting warmer and babies starting to arrive !
I have started to get busy selling plenty of my nappy cakes and baby gifts,my website is starting to get alot of traffic and sales have started to pick up.

Jemima Puddle-Duck

A 2 tier nappy cake with a Peter Rabbit soft toy on top.This is a great gift for any newborn baby and peter is a large size so no chance of misplacing him.

Bakewell in Derbyshire

Last weekend was a Craft fair in the beautiful town of Bakewell in Derbyshire.We have attended this event a couple of times it is held at Brigade Hall which is the local Scout hall they don't charge an entrance fee it is purely a donation of 10p for the upkeep of the scout hall.The town has lovely scenery and a great shopping area.

What a Day

What a day today my car went into the garage for what i thought was a little adjustment to the brakes!
Well how wrong could i be, the garage rang and made it sound like my car was about to blow up.
My brakes needed new shoes!!
I could of bought 20 pairs of shoes for what they cost and i also needed some water thing replacing to stop my engine blowing up.
The labour for this was just over half of my bill and now hubbys car needs to go in next week.
So i must crack on and get selling more of my nappy cakes but would need to sell a very lot to pay this bill.

This is my latest nappy cakes both are single tiers in pink and a neutral lilac and cream.

This is my grandson Daniel who we feature on our website page he is now 15 months old but when he was born i made a nappy cake to take to the hospital and that is when i started making my nappy cakes.

Busy again

Had a bit of a sort out today tried to get a little more organised and boxed up some of my stock.No more craft fairs until the end of March unless i find a local one to fill inbetween.I can't stop trying out new designs my nappy cakes are taking over my house !!

Well i have been off work this week so i have been busy !!
I've tided my craft room and organised it a little better,I have also made a couple of more cakes there is a Peter Rabbit one and i couldn't leave jemima out.
I have also made a couple more of the football cakes in Arsenal and Chelsea.
