Here comes the sun !!

What a lovely month april has turned into non of the usual rain but glorious sunshine just what we all need after a cold winter.
I've cut back on the amount of craft fairs i've booked this year because my website is now getting busy and i find the most popular nappy cakes are the football one's !!!.
Everton and Manchester United are the favourites !
Thinking about doing a few new nappy cake designs to put on our website http://www.babycakegifts.co.uk/
but first i need to source new stock.

I am now getting into holiday mode with just a couple of weeks until we jet off for a lovely weeks break,
this year we are having a family holiday with 4 of our grandchildren.

Nappy cakes

My interest in nappy cakes started when my grandson Daniel was born, with alot of research on the internet and some helpful tips from a friend in Australia i made my first nappy cake for an extra special little boy.
After alot of thought and support from my family i decided to set up my website;

Nappy Cakes

Nappy cakes are made from nappies rolled and arranged into a one,two or three tiered structure and "iced"
and decorated with baby blankets, bibs, soft toys and wrapped in cellophane with matching ribbons and bows.
Once you start it gets addictive with a host of ideas from winnie the pooh to football themes and also the standard pink, blue or neutral cakes.

My babycakegifts website has been very busy since christmas with plenty of sales so with that in mind i'm reworking my website, well my husband will be doing all the work as per my instructions ! 
I don't think either of us thought about how much time this would take up !

We bought a photo tent and we have retaken most of our photo's hopefully this will improve our site,
I have also redesigned a few of our nappy cake lines hopefully giving our customers more choice.

Welcome 2011

December started out very busy at babycakegifts first came the snow !!
Then the hectic build up to Christmas and New Year with plenty of people shopping for the last minute buys.
So now to a New year 2011 !!
I await all the new babies that will arrive within the next 9 months and i will be adding some new designs to my website www.babycakegifts.co.uk so if your looking for that extra special gift for a new baby then this is the place to look.
